Louis Vuitton redefines luxury beauty with its debut line, ‘La Beauté’
By JOHN ROLAND LEGASPI
Through this new universe, we have the opportunity to further accompany clients in their everyday lives with purpose and pleasure, while continuing to celebrate our creativity and heritage.

In the 1920s, celebrated soprano Marthe Chenal and virtuoso composer Jan Paderewski were clients of the French maison Louis Vuitton. As they traveled, they carried their toiletries and other beauty essentials inside custom vanity cases crafted by the luxury house. Since its inception, Louis Vuitton has embraced beauty. But this time, it is going all out with the unveiling of its inaugural color cosmetics line, “La Beauté Louis Vuitton.”
It took Louis Vuitton six months to craft its cosmetics line. To achieve true innovation, craftsmanship, and artistic vision, it joins forces with Dame Pat McGrath, a globally acclaimed makeup artist whose expertise in creating beauty experiences extends beyond products.
“The beauty universe is about so much more than just product, and what we are creating here will unlock a new level in luxury beauty,” says McGrath, Louis Vuitton’s cosmetics creative director.
The debut line of “La Beauté” is structured around three core pillars: lips, balms, and eyes.

LV Rouge introduces 55 lipstick shades (27 satin, 28 matte), each infused with shea butter and hyaluronic acid. Apart from their unique hues, the lipsticks are distinguished by signature fragrance notes of mimosa, jasmine, and rose, crafted by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. Its hero shades include Rose Odyssée (sienna rose), Rouge Louis (scarlet red), and Monogram Rouge (burnished red).
LV Baume offers 10tinted balms designed for glowing radiance. Like the LV Rouge, the balms are enriched with shea butter and hyaluronic acid, and carry scent notes of mint and raspberry.
Completing the collection is the LV Ombres, a line of eight eyeshadow palettes, each containing four shades. Formulated with plant-derived squalane and camellia flower oil, the palettes deliver a variety of finishes—from everyday elegance to bold metallic and pearlescent drama.
Paying homage to Louis Vuitton’s heritage, the piece’s packaging itself becomes part of the story. Conceived by industrial designer Konstantin Grcic, the refillable aluminum and brass cases are adorned with the maison’s monogram and checkerboard motifs. These beauty objects are designed not only as cosmetics but as objets d’art, timeless keepsakes. Drawing inspiration from Louis Vuitton’s iconic trunks and travel spirit, the launch also includes curated accessories—from precision makeup brushes to exquisitely crafted miniature travel trunks.
“‘La Beauté Louis Vuitton’ is a natural business evolution, driven by our meticulous attention to quality, formula, and innovation,” says Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton. “Through this new universe, we have the opportunity to further accompany clients in their everyday lives with purpose and pleasure, while continuing to celebrate our creativity and heritage.”
“La Beauté” was first introduced in China before its global release on Aug. 25, 2025. It is now available in select Louis Vuitton stores and online, and continues to be spotlighted through international pop-ups and special events.
