MANILA—In Bangkok, under the gleam of spotlights and the weight of global anticipation, Kirk Bondad made history. On Sept. 25, the 28-year-old Filipino-German model and wellness director was crowned Mister International 2025, becoming the second Filipino to hold the coveted title.

Standing at an arresting 6’4, Bondad’s presence is impossible to ignore. But beyond the angular lines and commanding stature lies a man who has mastered the art of translating discipline into charisma. With the repertoire that spans runways, campaigns, and competitions, he has long been a fixture of the Philippine fashion and fitness scene. On the Bangkok stage, that reputation crystallized into something greater: an international victory.

During preliminaries, Bondad’s magnetism earned him one of the three Dr. Face Choice Awards, a nod to his ability to not just turn heads but to hold them in rapt attention. It’s this duality—physical power paired with vulnerability and purpose—that has become his signature.

Redefining the modern beauty king
At 28, he knows the weight of a spotlight. His presence has long been felt on Philippine runways and in major campaigns, but his impact goes beyond the gloss of fashion. A proven force in the male pageant circuit, Bondad has claimed titles at Mister Pilipinas International 2025, landed in the Top 20 at Mister World Philippines 2024 in Vietnam, and first broke through as the Century Tuna Superbods 2022 Grand Winner.

Yet this year, he stepped onto the international stage with a vision larger than victory. Bondad speaks of masculinity not as dominance, but as compassion, expression, and purpose. He carries himself as both competitor and advocate, reshaping what it means to be a beauty king in a world that demands more than surface appeal. Grounded yet ambitious, he is the image of contemporary pageantry: a man of discipline, vulnerability, and undeniable presence.

National pride in celestial form
On the Bangkok stage, Bondad carried the Philippines with him in “Perlas Celestia,” a national costume designed by Patrick Isorena that blurred the line between couture and cultural storytelling.

The look was more than visual grandeur—it was a declaration. Embellished with symbolism, it spoke of purity, resilience, and transformation, capturing the enduring spirit of the Pearl of the Orient. And in motion, with Bondad’s commanding frame and presence, it transcended fabric and embellishment. It became a performance—heritage rendered as high fashion, identity made celestial.

A man of style and substance
For Bondad, pageantry has never been just about presence—it has always been about purpose. The stage, to him, is a platform to speak on issues that matter, to use visibility as a force for impact.

“We need to protect the children and invest in their education, because today’s children will be tomorrow’s leaders,” he said. “Even the smallest steps, when taken together, can create change on a global scale.”

From Superbods to Mister World and now the second Mister International Filipino king, he has consistently treated the stage as more than a personal spotlight—it is a podium for Filipino pride, Igorot heritage, and a reimagined masculinity that is as stylish as it is vulnerable and redefined.
